What happens when you visit
KitchenSimplicity is a static website. We do not use cookies, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not ask you to create an account.
Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., delivers the pages. To do so, its servers process technical data that every browser sends: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and to keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel processes this data on our behalf; it may do so on servers in the United States.
Visitor statistics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views, for example which pages are read most and which websites refer visitors to us. According to Vercel, it does not set cookies and does not store anything on your device. Visitors are told apart by a hash calculated from the request, which Vercel discards after 24 hours, so you cannot be recognized across days or other websites. We see only aggregated figures such as page views, referring pages, countries, browsers and device types. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding which content is useful (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel processes this data on our behalf.
Fonts are stored on our own server. Your browser does not contact a font service when you visit.
Links to retailers
Product links take you to retailers such as Amazon. When you follow such a link, you leave KitchenSimplicity. The retailer may set cookies and process your data under its own privacy policy, for example to attribute a purchase to our link.
Contacting us
If you contact us by email, phone or in writing, we use your details only to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep them.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your data, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Saxon Data Protection and Transparency Commissioner (Sächsische Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragte).
Residents of the United States
We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We update this policy when our website changes, for example if we add new services. The date at the top shows the latest version.
