I actually completely substituted King Arthur's Whole White Wheat flour for the white flour and had tons of compliments for a birthday- Pancake and Pajama Party. For party favors (to the parents) I filled mason jars with the mix and included instructions to use for biscuits or pancakes. I really enjoy your website and recipes! Thank you for sharing your talents!

I used to make this with shortening back in the 70's and 80's but stopped making it because I stopped using shortening. Today I did a search wondering if anyone had substituted butter and was happy to find your blog. Thanks!
