I went back to Canada in November to to visit my family and spent seven wonderful weeks there. It was so much fun to be able to share Christmas with my family this year. I didn’t update my blog as usual because I left my camera equipment behind and I wanted to spend as much quality time with them as possible. I did, however, bring along one prime lens so that I could capture some moments to treasure. Here is a little peek into what kept me away for so long.
Leaving a message for Nanna and Pappy

So, there’s a glimpse into my holiday. Isn’t my son just the cutest? :)
In other news, I was interviewed by Aimee of Under the High Chair for her Foodie Facebook last week. You can read it here.

He is beyond adorable. Those eyes kill me. So blue and gorgeous.
It looks like an absolutely amazing trip! If you don’t mind me asking, wherabouts are you from? Its gorgeous!
Thanks Lauren. You know if your willing to wait 20 years…. :)
My family lives in Sundre Alberta. Very close to the mountains. :)
Thanks for leaving a msg on my blog, Cheri! Let me start by saying that your child is beautiful! I love the first photo with his big blue eyes and also the one of (you? and) him near the Christmas tree. I’m from the U.S., and I also returned home with my son over the holidays. We were there for four weeks. Your parents must have loved having you for seven weeks! Isn’t it so hard to live so far away…and even more so when you have a little one? I’m not sure if your husband went too, but my husband had to stay in DK to work, poor guy. It was wonderful to be with family and friends but also hard because our immediate family was separated. I suppose these are the complications of living in a foreign country! Yes, I continue to struggle with finding certain ingredients. It’s particularly true with most international/ethnic ingredients and health foods. I can forget about finding phyllo dough or whole wheat pastry flour. Impossible! I would imagine it might be easier in a big city like Oslo? Maybe not though. Thanks again for your note!
Your son is too cute! Sounds like you had a visit with your family. :)
Love the pictures of when you went looking for horses Cher!!! Well, actually I love all of them:)…but especially the one of Max with Mom & Dad. Love you lots!
Nice photos and what a beautiful painting by your Dad, he’s very talented.

I loved catching up on what you were up to at home. Great photos as usual – both Max and Alberta are just gorgeous!
